Yooka-Laylee Coming To Consoles & PC In 2016
I was only made aware of this game earlier this morning by someone I chat to via Twitter putting out a tweet, so for those like me who know nothing about Yooka-Laylee do read on. After only going live yesterday moments ago the kickstarter for this game smashed through the £1 million stretch goal they had set themselves, which in turn means the game will now available on PC, Mac, Linux, PS4, Xbox One and Wii U from day one.
So why should you care about Yooka-Laylee I hear you ask.
Well the Playtonic team behind the kickstarter and Yooka-Laylee only came together back in 2014, but the seven-person team were originally part of Rare Ltd back in the good old days. Between them they have had a part in games such as Donkey Kong Country, Banjo-Kazooie, Viva Piñata and Kameo: Elements of Power, so some pretty big hitters if you ask me.
When having a little look at the game via the Kickstarter (which you can still help fund if you want to by clicking here) it instantly reminded me of the games I used to enjoy back when I was younger, so I look forward to sharing that sort of fun I had with those games back in the day with my own kids come 2016. Sadly no official trailers or anything are live at the moment, so force yourself to watch the below IGN footage if you want to see some gameplay.
