Twitch Pulls PS4 Playroom Channels After “Non-Gaming Content” Streamed

The online streaming service Twitch, which is partnered with Sony’s next generation PlayStation 4, has announced that it has removed the consoles Playroom app content from the companies channel listings due to “violations of it’s terms of service” as the “majority of it was non-gaming related”.

For those not familiar with Playroom, the application allowed gamers to interact with the PS4’s camera in fun mini-games. However some users discovered it was possible to stream the live feed on to the Twitch service and create all sorts of shenanigans, such as a couple hosting a talk show and reports of, lets just say, inappropriate off-topic content being streamed.

The Twitch service for Xbox One has been delayed by Microsoft until after launch, and not expected until 2014.
