The Evil Within – Gameplay Demo

Not a big scare fan if truth be known, but even I have to say how decent this game is looking.

“Detective Sebastien Castellanos and his partners are called in to investigate a gruesome mass murder. After witnessing a mysterious force slaughter his fellow officers, Sebastian is ambushed and knocked unconscious. When the video opens, he finds his world has been turned upside down. Facing unimaginable terror and fighting for survival in a world where hideous creatures wander among the dead, Sebastian embarks on a frightening journey to unravel who or what is behind this unimaginable evil”.

The Evil Within is set for release on the Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PC, and is slated for release in 2014.

This looked incredible to me. Interesting location and a gruesome storyline. From what i saw, it looks like the player, who is used to being the hunter is forced into the role of the prey which if done wrong could be a horrible experience but by the looks of it, there will be a way of fighting back as the story progresses.
i wanna play this in the dark with surround sound!!

I tried that with Dead Space and it ended badly. It’s weird as I loved Silent hill and Resi in my younger days.

Why do these games get made…

Simple, for every crap game there is an idiot to buy it

If your a fan of this genre of games than this should be a great, especially since Shinji Mikami is involved. His past involvement on two great games, the Resident Evil remake for Game Cube and Resident Evil 4, gives me a lot of faith that this is going to be very good.

What I like about this game, just from what I have seen is it looks slower paced.

A lot of people nowadays are in too much of a rush to actually experience the atmosphere created by the designers and miss the smaller details that have been included for specific reasons.
Its nice to have a change of pace where your not the invincible super soldier or the overpowered hero but simple man who is put into a rather horrifying position of survival.

Not a lot of people can accept being on the lower end of the food chain but sometimes, if done right it can be a refreshing change.
