Rayman Legends Set For Next-Gen Consoles
After the announcement that Tomb Raider was to get a next-gen release it looks to have opened the flood gates for more games to follow.
Rayman Legends is now set for release on both the PS4 and Xbox One on February 28th 2014 with these versions having a few new features.
Not only will you get upgraded graphics and faster loading times inbetween levels, but Players on both platforms will also get exclusive costumes for Rayman and Globox: Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas and Globox Vaas on Xbox One; and Assassin Ray on PlayStation 4. You will also be able to buy the Funky Ray costume with Uplay points if you so wish.
The Xbox One version will also include 10 exclusive challenges to unlock new time-limited Achievements; while the PlayStation 4 will allow use of the PlayStation 4 controller’s touchpad for actions such as scratching Lucky Tickets, as well as making and sharing screenshots and videos with the community, and using the PlayStation Vita to continue playing the game via remote play.
WHY THE HELL IS SNOOP DOGG IN THIS TRAILER?
I will be honest with you guys here, as a next-gen console guy I am getting a bit worried with older games that did half decent seeming to earn themselves a next-gen release.
Now I would be happy if they were games that were not mass released on all consoles previously, but with both Tomb Raider and now Rayman Legends both getting this treatment this week I’m hoping that the trend ends there, otherwise I have shelled out £429.00 for a console that is offering me the game but with better looks less than a year after the original release.
But I suppose we only have ourselves to blame, as I guess Ghosts, Black Flag and FIFA 14 all being no doubt big sellers on day one will have set of a lightbulb off to all publishers out there.
So will you be buying any future older titles that are announced for the new-gen, or are you like me and want more newer titles on the shelves?
