Might No.9 – Spiritual Successor to Mega Man
For those that have been holding out hope a new Mega Man game, some good news has come for you, the games Creator Keiji Inafune, is working on a new game that is pretty much a new Mega Man game, just not in name.
Might No.9, which is on Kickstarter right now, features all the familiar things you would expect from a Mega Man game. For starters you play as a robot that very much looks like Mega Man in my opinion and who can take the enemies weapons and ability’s. So this might provide the game Mega Man fans are looking for, at least until Capcom does something with the blue hero.
The game is to feature traditional side scrolling action mixed in which new, more modern mechanics. The main character, Beck, has the ability to transform his body into different things (such as his limbs becoming giant magnets) allowing for new ways for players to tackle situations.
Keiji Inafune has been involved with, along with the rest of development team on this game, a lot of Mega Man games. It should be in safe hands then and contain the platforming game play Mega Man fans want mixed in with some new ideas.
The game is set to come to PC, but should it reach the stretch goal of $2,500,000 it will also be making it way to PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.
What do you guys think to the look of this game? Mega Man fans are you excited?
Thanks to Nintendo Life for the spot.
