Command & Conquer Back In Development?

We reported last month that EA’s new Command & Conquer title and studio, Victory Games came to an early end with EA closing the studio and ceasing development on the new C&C game, with C&C Community Manager “EA_CIRE” saying he doesn’t think a new installment would happen anytime soon.

Well seemly this maybe have changed very recently with EA speaking about their Cancellation and Refund policy to folk who brought ‘The C&C Ultimate Collection”, check out the quote below:

“After much deliberation and feedback from the closed alpha test period, the current version of Command & Conquer is no longer being produced.

Over the next 10 days we will be refunding any and all money spent in the alpha. If, after November 8, 2013, you still have not received refunds for your purchases, you should contact a game advisor and we will be happy to assist you.

For those of you who bought The C&C Ultimate Collection, your early access to the beta will be honored once production of this title resumes under a new studio.

We would like to thank you for your time and interest in Command & Conquer, and we look forward to sharing the news with you when production resumes on this title in the future.”

So is this a sign that EA may of listened to the fans of the series who won’t let this series go quiet in to the night? As always we shall keep our eyes peeled, I know some of the guys here were looking forward to the new installment. Plus thanks to CNCNZ.com for this information.
