Sierra Entertainment Is Back!

Surely everyone has heard the news by now about the return of Sierra Entertainment, they gave us a wee tease on YouTube showing the company’s logo and then nothing! Well not totally nothing, just they saying that they will be at Gamescom with some news, and they weren’t lying.

The newly respawned publisher will now deal with Activision’s indie publishing side of the business. as well as bringing back one of their classic great IPs, Kings Quest, which will be developed by The Odd Gentleman. The game promises to be a “re-imagined” take on the old franchise puzzles.

Plus that isn’t all Sierra had up their sleeve, they also announced Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, which will be getting developed by Lucid Games which is formed with several members of the original Geometry Wars developer, Bizarre Creations. The game will have 50 single player challenges and 10 battle modes. So hopefully it will live up to its older brothers which were a blast to play.

Welcome back Sierra Entertainment, do us proud.
