GameCube Controllers For The Wii U You Say!

Exciting news from the Nintendo of America twitter account which announced that Super Smash Bros will be playable with the GameCube controllers via an adapter which plugs in to the Wii U.

This is great news for all Nintendo fans, as the GameCube controllers were pretty awesome. The adapter will needs two of the Wii U USB ports will allow you to plug 4 controllers for some brawl chaos.

Super Smash Bros Bawl will also work with the Wii Remote, Nunchuk and Classic Controller but I can bet the fans favourite will be the GameCube controller.

From what I know, Nintendo hasn’t said anything about any other Wii U games which will be playable using the adapter but fingers cross Mario Kart 8 will get an update to support it.

Edit: Seemly I’m wrong, it wasn’t announced on the twitter account but on a video Nintendo released earlier on Thursday.
