Bethesda not Developing for Wii U because of Hardware
Any wii U owners holding out for Bethesda to release their games on the console will be disappointed to hear that it does not look like that will be happening anytime soon.
In an interview with Joystiq at Quakecon Bethesdas vice president of PR and marketing, Pete Hines, spoke about how any game currently announced by them will not be coming to the Wii U and put this largely down to hardware issues. The hardware limitations of the Wii U are what is stopping it from receiving Bethesda games, ‘ make the games that we want to make, on whatever platforms will support them as developed’, the Wii U just can not support their games it seems.
Its bad news for Wii U owners that they won’t be receiving any Bethesda games anytime soon, and this news also highlights one of the key flaws in the system and the reason it may be missing many third party games, the limitations of the hardware. With the Xbox One and PS4 on the horizon Nintendo might be about to feel the limits in its hardware even more, if third party games keep missing the console it may be down to exclusives then to carry it, and at least there Nintendo does have a lot of great games.
Their is a small amount of hope for the future though that maybe one day future games will come to the Wii U from Bethesda. If you own a Wii U, do you feel your missing out with this news? Do you feel that hardware limitations are affecting the Wii U?
