New Borderlands 2 DLC Confirmed
Yesterday Randy Pitchford of Gearbox teased via Twitter that more Borderlands 2 DLC is on the way with details to be released today. Following this, at PAX Australia today Gearbox announced that a new level-cap was on the way that will allow players to level up 11 more times up to level 72. Along with the level-cap increase, several DLC packs containing missions and bosses are also in the works.
The Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2: Digistruct Peak Challenge will provide a new area in which Patricia Tannis will allow players to fight over-levelled enemies for an increased challenge while earning new loot. The price of the pack is set at $5.00 but no details on UK or MSP prices have been released. The Pack is due for a release before the end of October.
Gearbox are also releasing Headhunter DLC packs which will contain new missions as well as themed bosses. The first of these packs has been detailed and will feature the return of T.K. Baha from the original Borderlands game. T.K. Baha’s Bloody Harvest will see Zombie T.K. sending players out to kill the Jaques O’Lantern boss who will reward them with new customisation items for their characters. No release dates or pricing have been released but Gearbox intends to have at least two, if not three of these packs made available.
Along with all of this, new character heads and skins will be released in the next few weeks which will be based off of Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. A free update will also give players more bank, inventory, and ammo upgrades which will presumably be made available through Crazy Earl at the Black Market in Sanctuary, in exchange for some Eridium of course.
With the Season Pass concluding with Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep, this new DLC will not feature in the pass and will likely have to be bought separately.
