EA Announces Their Indie Publishing Label & Its First Game, Fe
During the EA Play even, we saw the publisher speak about how important Unravel was to them and the passionate team at Coldwood, EA felt that Unravel deserved to get the attention of the world and to be played so EA gave it a boost. All that helped kick start EA Originals.
EA Originals will be EAs indie publishing label, like how Sierra is Activisions indie publisher. EA Originals will find small projects and offer them help them through development, marketing and publishing of their game on current platforms and they also went to mention that 100% of the profits will go back to the developer but what I want to know is, does the small developer get to keep the licensing to their game?
Anyhow the first game to be part of this new endeavour will be Fe, developed by Gothenburg based studio.
“Fe is a personal narrative about our relationship with nature, the land, and its beings. It’s a wordless celebration of our longing to be one with world around us. It’s a story that reminds us that everything in this world is connected, living in a delicate balance that is constantly under threat. It’s a game full of discovery, conflict, and relationships.”
Fe is no Unravel but does look interesting, so it be great to see how Fe and EA Originals do in the future.
