CRYENGINE Does Not leave Wii U Out
After the recent lack of third party support for the Wii U, and some of this put down to possible hardware issues, some good news comes today with an announcement from Crytex.
Today Crytex has announced their new engine, the CRYENGINE, and in the list of platforms supported the Wii U is listed, ‘the new CRYENGINE supports development on current and next generation consoles (Xbox One, PlayStation®4, and WiiU™)’. Although this is no guarantee that any of their games will be coming to the platform, its great news to see that it has not be excluded and that the new engine at least supports the Wii U.
Crytek is responsible for some blockbuster games that have always made the best use of the hardware their on, games such Crysis, Far Cry and the game from the image above, Crysis 3. This is great news for Nintendo fans because it shows that perhaps the Wii Us hardware is not as bad as people think, and even through no games by Crytak have been announced for it, third party developers may take more notice of the console and have a rethink over the hardware.
What do you guys think of this? Would you like to see some Crytek games on the Wii U?
Thanks to My Nintendo News for the spot.
