2K Games Announce Wrestlemania Mode for WWE 2K14 (Updated With Trailer)
If one thing stood out on the last WWE game from THQ before they closed their doors it was easily the fantastic Attitude Era that WWE’13 added to the mix.
Many fans were wondering where the series would go next to top this, and finally we got news of that today.
WWE 2K14 will be going the route of Wrestlemania with an all new Wrestlemania single player mode, which will cover 30 years history of the biggest wrestling show on the planet.
With the news today was also a couple of roster drops with both Andre the Giant and Hulk Hogan being announced for the game, this comes on top of other roster guys like Macho man Randy Savage, JBL and Ultimate Warrior (pre-order only) all being announced aswell.
Chris Snyder, Senior Director of Marketing at 2K had this to say. “For nearly three decades, WWE has inspired millions worldwide through the historic, cultural and undeniable phenomenon that is WrestleMania.
Through the 30 Years of WrestleMania Mode in WWE 2K14, players can now relive their favorite nostalgic and recent WrestleMania moments – from an incredible roster to authentic presentation and match play – in a unique and engaging way.”
The mode itself takes place over 45+ matches featuring classics such as Hogan VS Andre the Giant, The Rock VS Hogan and Rock Vs Cena being just a few named on the press release.
As a fan of WWF/WWE for years some matches that stand of for me are matches like Austin vs HBK and of course MR streak himself, The Undertaker, who has had tons of classic matches at Mania.
Wrestlemania mode all sounds rather interesting, but only time will tell if it will top the Attitude Era?
