E3 rant (Xbox Smartglass)
Another big E3 show has nearly past, and we’re now at that stage where other publishers show off what they have to offer in the coming months for our beloved 360 consoles, but what I want to talk about in this blog is my thoughts about how I thought the show went yesterday evening, as I’ve been a huge fan of E3 for years and love the excitement that surrounds it every year.
The whole thing kicked off with a gorgeous looking game trailers and gameplay of, Halo 4, Splinter cell: Blacklist, Gears of war: Judgment ( not a typo, annoys me as well) and the new Forza Horizon, but then we got to the entertainment part, and for me, things started to go a bit downhill.
Last year it was all about the Kinect, this year we was force fed crap about Xbox Smartglass.
Now I love new tech, but come on Microsoft don’t tell me the reason you never gave us an Internet explorer before now was because a mouse and keyboard got in the way, to then ask me to use a phone as a damn mouse. What are you thinking? I’ve had a Wii under my TV for years, not once have I looked at my PC and thought screw your proper way of surfing the net I’m going to use a Wii remote.
We know the only people shouting out for an Internet explorer on the 360 are poor people stealing next doors wireless Internet looking for an easier way to check their email. I have a place I can surf the net it works fine, I love my wireless keyboard and mouse, I don’t need a tablet or a phone, but thanks for helping out people who can’t afford their own Internets.
Only when you hear someone take the piss out of you do you realise how stupid the idea actually is.
JUST DO YOUR JOB AND GIVE US GAMES DAMN IT.
Joking aside, this year at E3 it seemed like a filler until next years event, where you can bet your life savings we will get a console war, and I for one can not wait!
